Take the A2 motorway (Basel-Gotthard) to the Stans-Süd/Engelberg exit. Then follow the cantonal road to Engelberg. This is open all year round. From Stans it takes about 25 minutes. Travel time from Basel: 1 hour 45 minutes, from Bern: 2 … hours, from Zurich: 1 hour 10 minutes and from Lucerne 35 minutes. For route planning, we recommend Google Maps.
